Booking, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Securing your appointment

When you book, we send your inspection agreement and invoice by text and email right away. To keep your appointment, sign the agreement and pay:
  • within 24 hours of receiving them, for appointments more than a day away;
  • within 1 hour, for next-day appointments;
  • right away, for same-day appointments.
If the agreement is not signed and paid by then, the appointment is canceled.

Rescheduling

  • With at least 48 hours' notice before your appointment, you can reschedule at no charge.
  • With less than 48 hours' notice, a reschedule is treated the same as a cancellation made at that time (see the refund rules below). We review each request case by case.

Cancellations and refunds

  • Cancellations made 48 or more hours before the appointment are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Day-of cancellations, no-shows, inaccessible properties, or services canceled or stopped after the inspector has arrived are not eligible for a refund.
  • Lab fees are not refundable once samples have been collected.
  • Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 10 business days.

If an inspection is stopped

If an inspection is stopped after the inspector arrives, including when you decide to walk away from the property because of what is found, the inspection fee is not refunded. We review each situation individually.
Add-on credit: If a sewer scope, radon test, water test or mold test was booked as an add-on to a home inspection and was not completed because the inspection was stopped, we give you a credit for that same service. The credit:
  • can be used on a different property;
  • must be used as an add-on, not toward a main service such as a home inspection;
  • expires 1 year after the date of the stopped inspection.

Your inspection agreement

Your signed inspection agreement also applies to your appointment. If this page and your agreement ever conflict, the agreement controls.
